GLYPHEIN

We engrave what your data says.

Glyphein builds analytical instruments for Power BI. Our first one draws the flows inside a network — where they run, how far they sit from plan, and what depends on what.

Flow Globe — in development, coming to Microsoft AppSource

Glyphein Flow Globe

An origin-destination map for Power BI, on a 3D globe or a flat map. You give it three columns — where from, where to, how much — and it draws the network.

The name

Glyphein — γλύφειν, “to engrave, to carve”; said gli-fine. Where γράφειν lays ink on a surface, γλύφειν takes material away. The sea charts and portolans of the 16th to 19th centuries were all cut with a burin on copper — a direct lineage, and we make maps. In the lineage of Bertin, a glyph is the graphic mark that encodes a value: the name describes what the product makes.
